I bought this for my WASR-10/63, and it installed with no problems. Right folding, so it doesn't interfere with any mounts on the reciever rail. Blocks, the saftey, but is hard to shoot with safety on anyway.... Definitely a good buy.

I also like mine. Not love it - but it's a decent folder. It adds about an inch of pull, which is nice if you are taller than the average Russian (most of us are). It is a left folder! Which I think ALL AK folding stocks should be. The sling attachment is right where Pat said. The AK is a heads up rifle for medium range shooting. Cheek weld is marginal most of the time, and totally off with any optic. Any fold is a compromise; Left folding goofs an optic rail, an under folder requires mag hassles, and right-folding goofs with the safety, but honestly, I shoot with the safety off. My only beef is it could be just a touch more stable, but it probably knocks a hair off the recoil so I'll call it even.

I liked it better than the other reviewer. I'll argue that it IS practical, for these reasons: 1) Even though the folded stock covers the safety, it's easily accessible from underneath with the right hand if you take your hand off the pistol grip, like how you're supposed to. 2) I found the stock not awkward at all. It IS a bit longer, which I don't like, but it's acceptable. 3) Cheek to Stock weld is good enough to see the sights and fire. The AK isn't a precision or long range rifle, and shouldn't be treated as such. It's a short-range rifle (<200 yards) because the accuracy of the weapon is only acceptable, so a good cheek weld isn't needed. No need to try to turn the AK into what it can't be. 4) It does have a sling attachment (not a swivel), but it's not in the normal place either on the bottom or side of the buttstock. Instead, it's located on the left side of the folding stock about an inch in front of the joint, and consists of a small metal bar. You can see this if you look at the picture. While some people might not like this placement because they are used to using the sling as a tool to steady the rifle for precision fire (such as with the M1, M14, FAL, etc), the AK needs no such tool because it plays a different role.

i bought this for my saiga for the looks. Install was easy, just a few drill holes and a whole lot of screwin, it fit like a charm. this stock isnt very practical for a few reasons: 1. When folded it covers the weapon safety. 2. the butt of the stock is kind of awkward to shoulder and achieving cheek to stock weld is out of the question. 3. there is no sling swivel.
