Modeled after popular AK designs, these screw-on compensators are designed to easily attach to standard AK barrels equipped with 14x1LH threads. The classic designs reduce recoil and muzzle rise during firing. Finished in Black phosphate and stamped "TAPCO USA". Each muzzle brake counts as one U.S. Sec 922r compliant part. This thing was a cinch to install after removing the stock slant muzzle brake. It fits perfectly and after a couple of hundred rounds at the range, I can say it performs well and looks cool. Great item!!

Am I the only one who had a problem with this muzzle brake? I have a Chinese MAK-90 (post ban- bayonet lug ground off). I bought this muzzle brake to equalize the pressure release when fired. I have a 14:1 left hand twist threads at the muzzle of my AK. I bought the AK Slot muzzle brake AKS-052 and it mounted perfectly, but the "slot" is turned to the side, which I do not like. So I bought this muzzle brake to relace that one. The one I received did not fit the threads on my AK. The muzzle brake was too big and did not "screw" on at all. It will go on the muzzle, but it will not screw on, but hangs loosley on the muzzle. I am very disappointed.
