I read both reviews and should have listened to the first one. These plugs are sized for children. I used the scissors to cut them so I could get more diameter and even cutting them in half the barely touched the sides of my ear canal. Super disappointment that I actually bought two on a gamble to save on shipping and handling. Big loser on these plugs. Money wasted. Not sized for adults. Pathetic product.

I have used these for several years and they work perfectly. Fit snug and can hardly hear anything while using them. Very soft and easily washed and reused. Never had them come loose and never any pain while putting in. (Previous reviewer needs to see a Dr.) They actually fit so snug that I have pulled the cord out of them but not a problem as there is enough rubber on the end to pull them out (see picture). Only ear plugs I have used that work slightly better are the Radians that attach to their shooting glasses, which are made from the same material.

These things are horrible. I tested them as soon as I got them and was sad to discover they are this gel-like rubber material. You are supposed to force them into your ear until they stay snug. Maybe I have a small ear but they never stay in. They always slowly slip out until I can hear sound slipping past them. Because of the jel/rubber material, the air that is already in your ear canal gets trapped as you insert them, and as you push them in deeper to snug them up, you feel extreme pressure on your ear drum. It hurts and im sure its not safe. There is even a warning on the box not to remove too quickly or you might cause damage (probably from the suction). I am much happier with my auto shop disposable foam ear plugs. I will probably order a bag of foam plugs instead of using these rubber ones. Dont buy them...spend the extra dollar and save your ears some pain.
