1.0 Rating Flawed mount, weak mouting screw - 3/3/2013AimSHOT Compact Rail Red Laser Sight with Pressure Pad Polymer Black KT-63321.0000

The rail mount on this laser seems to be fundamentally flawed. The top edge of the rail mount that the screw threads into sits slightly lower then the fixed side of the mount. This causes it to not fit securely on my Glock 21. The other issue I had was the mounting screw stripped out after the first use. I looked down to see this laser sitting on the table after falling off my gun within the first five shots at the range. Apparently the recoil from the .45 round was too much and popped the screw right out of the clamp. I suppose it might work ok on a .22 pistol or something with low recoil.

Ordered this for my new Sig Sauer P250 full size 9mm. Initial inspection was good, seemed to be well made, metal parts and not a lot of plastic, mounted up to the rail on my pistol nicely. The problem appeared when I opened the battery cover. One side of the battery terminals was broken. It wasn't something that could have been easily overlooked, as it was only hanging by a small sliver of metal. I gave the item 3 bullets, even though it was broken, because the build of the laser itself looked to be really good. Hopefully this was just a fluke. Returned it for an exchange, customer service was top notch as always. I haven't gotten the replacement yet, so I can't tell you if the new one is in any better shape. I hope it is.
