...glad I had my foam finger-rolled earplugs today. The Woodland Whispers did NOT protect from the shooting of 20 ga 3" slugs or .300 Hornady Magnums. Outdoor range, in case you were wondering. You get what you pay for.

Got these in my hands today and tried them out during the evening news on TV. If I recall correctly, I had medium ear plugs issued to me by the Army, but the medium tips on these (installed at factory) were uncomfortably tight. Switched to the smalls, which was much better. Tried to imagine wearing them for 6+ hours straight on a hunt. Definitely the small tips would be better for a long period like that. Volume and tone controls are tight. Had to use a watch repair or jeweler's screwdriver. They'll stay where you put them, for sure. Set those before putting them into your ears. Can't wait to try them at the range, as hand claps next to the ear weren't loud enough to trigger the high dB protection function. After the range, I'll update this.
