This attractive block set is a great way to start your knife collection and it also makes a thoughtful gift for a young person's first apartment. The set includes our 6-inch Chef's Knife, a Paring Knife, a Serrated Utility, a Slicing Knife, as well as Kitchen Shears, Honing Steel, and a beautiful hardwood block to store them in. The set offers all the basic culinary tools needed to make cooking convenient and easier. The hardwood block comes with open slots so that you can add to your collection as you expand your skills and need additional specialty knives.

The blade steel is Japanese AUS6A high-carbon stainless steel and is sharpened to a razor-sharp edge. The handles are co-polymer and provide a soft-yet-firm grip. The handle is exceptionally non-slip, even in a wet kitchen environment. While you can put these knives in the dishwasher, we recommend handwashing to maintain your knives-and keep the knives from harming anything else in your dishwasher. The Kershaw 9900 Series is NSF Certified for commercial kitchens.
