To get it to strobe, you need to practice with it, but that is part of any defense scenario. Load drills, sight drills, and strobe drills. Killer brightness, fits on everything. I have one on my Remington 870 and one on my Springfield XD45. Sight-in works perfectly and holds a zero (even with a shotgun, which is a bit overkill with the laser)
