Inspired by the highly effective RPK brake found on the AK's big brother, the TAPCO Cage Brake provides improved styling and helps dampen recoil. Machined from high strength steel, the brake has a phosphate finish for years of rugged use and many thousands of rounds. It is threaded in the standard 14 X 1 LH and can be installed as a replacement for any standard threaded AK muzzle. This item counts as 1 U.S. Sec 922r compliant part.

Easy install (once I took a hacksaw to the spot-weld on the basic WASR 10/63 thread cap). Fits the threads perfectly. Goes on tight, but still with enough play to allow you to easily change the muzzle brake out if so desired. Definitely reduces muzzle flash. I can't really tell if it reduced recoil because I have ergo stock and grip that basically makes it feel like an AR-15.No worries.
