The reason for 3 bullets instead of 5 is for these two reasons. First and foremost, the mag does hold 15 rounds but jams every time I have it loaded to max, mind you, take it down to 14 rounds and it cycles fine. Secondly, shipping was expensive. If you don't mind paying more for basic shipping and a mag that holds one less round (successfully) than advertised, it's not a bad deal.
