Having NOT actually field tested this thing, I'm assuming it filters water just fine like it says. Its construction is metal and feels very tough. Inspecting the ceramic filter, metal hose ports, and the plunger, it gives me confidence that the price reflects true quality in durability and practicality. It's a little spendy, but how could you argue with potentially years of recyclable/clean water.
