I've had this machete for quite some time now, and I've had a chance to put it through it's paces. I had read review of it breaking, and even of these being recalled. While I'm not usually a fan of celebrity endorsed products (price tends to be reflected by the "name" rather than the quality), this parang is the real deal bang for the buck. If you are looking for a sturdy piece of kit, for a budget, this will more than abide. Chops like a hatchet, cuts like a knife. Came sharp enough in the package for easy chopping, a few swipes from a honesteel to get it to razor quality. The sheath has been redesigned from early models, and is much better now in my opinion. (No more snaps.) You won't be disappointed here for this price, or any for that matter.
