H&R Buffalo Classic rifles are classics to the core, modeled after the Frank Wesson tip up rifles that were first made in Worcester, Massachusetts in the 1850s. Traditional styling and aiming stability were foremost in its design. Offered in 45-70 Gov’t., its 32" midweight barrel helps this big bore cartridge develop full velocity and accuracy potential. It also provides the necessary sighting radius for long range matches. The Williams receiver sight is complemented by a traditional globe style target front sight with eight aperture inserts.

5.0 Rating Excellent ! - 3/28/2011
Reviewer: Cletus
I purchased this rifle from Cheaper Than Dirt, it shipped very fast and they make it easy. This rifle is even better looking in person than pics. Factory sights are great, lots of different sight inserts came with Lyman front sight. I replaced the rear sight with a Williams hand adjust sight and a .050 half inch smaller peep. Easy swap and no longer need screw driver to adjust for windage and elevation anymore. Very accurate with 32" barrel, great weight and looks fantastic. If I had to say something negative, the only thing I can come up with is the barrel was extremely dirty on the inside, lots of crud, you must clean and oil this rifle before firing. You should do that for all rifles before firing so isn't a big deal, just never had one quite this dirty.

4.0 Rating Really slick rifle - 3/29/2014
Reviewer: Jim
I love the walnut grain of stock, sleek look, and fine feel and accuracy of this weapon. No home should be without one:). Given the relative low weight/mass of the weapon, huge caliber round, and robust kick, it would be nice if it had a butt pad to help with recoil. The matt/flat finish of the wood was boring. I put a couple of coats of polyurethane on it, and it REALLY brought out the beauty of the wood. Very nice weapon, I would highly recommend to anyone
