Hornady Custom handgun ammunition is loaded witht he utmost care for reliability, and stopping power. All Hornady Custom pistol ammo is loaded with either the famous Hornady XTP (Extreme Terminal Performance) bullet, our FMJ or our new FTX bullet. All are supremely accurate, and deliver maximum knockdown power. Hornady produces most of the brass for Hornady Custom pistol ammo. All other brass is chosen to ensure it meets our unusually high standards for reliable feeding, corrosion resistance, proper hardness and the ability to withstand maximum chamber pressures. Each cartridge is loaded to ensure optimal pressure, velocity and consistency from lot to lot. Like the powder, each primer is carefully matched to individual loads, and specifically selected for their ability to quickly, completely, and reliably ignite the powder charge.

These loads are amazing!!! The power is incredible. I had a chance to fire these in my new Taurus raging judge magnum at a local gun range. The performance was off the chart. I've been using this round in my Super Redhawk Alaskan for 3 years now for wilderness protection. I feel much better about being out there with these rounds chambered. They are HOT and MEAN. Try them for yourself and see what I'm talking about!

If you want great knock down power, why get anything else. The recoil is powerful yet controllable, with my Taurus 454. Also, Cheaper Than Dirt had delivered this item within three days of me ordering it. I will be buying more stuff off them again, soon.

I love the price and power loading of the Brazilian (MagXXXX) ammunition, but the accuracy in my Ruger 7.5 inch was erratic, to say the least. This Hornady load restored my faith and was an incredible improvement in group sizes--no scope, 4" @ 50 yds. Powerful and a handful to shoot, but consistently accurate. I am very pleased and consider this round the optimal full power offering. Very pleased.

I shoot these in my Rossi Model 92 lever gun and they are awesome cartridges for whitetails. Hornady ammunition is accurate and consistent with the highest muzzle velocity on the market. If you hunt with a .454 rifle you need these cartridges!
