Hornady Custom provides excellent, purposeful hunting ammo. This example, in .25-06 Remington, is loaded with a 117 Interlock boat tail soft point bullet which it launches at 2990 fps. It is an excellent choice for hunting white tail deer or eliminating predators.

Millions of successful hunts have proven the accuracy and deadly knockdown power of the famous Hornady bullets we load into every Hornady Custom rifle cartridge. Hornady's SST bullets are streamlined for ultra flat trajectories and contain a premium polymer tip for rapid expansion and maximum energy transfer. The match grade jacket delivers surgical accuracy while heave construction with InterLock feature delivers deep penetration every time. Each cartridge is loaded to ensure optimal pressure, velocity and consistency.

Hornady InterLock bullets offer controlled expansion with deep penetration and the aerodynamic secant ogive of the Hornady InterLock delivers flat trajectories and great accuracy. Its tapered jacket allows for deep penetration and controlled expansion while the InterLock ring locks core and jacket together.

I bought this factory new ammo for deer hunting and had four duds out of eight rounds. I put it away and bought Remington brand in town. The replacement Remington worked perfectly. We imagine Hornady had a bad batch of primers. It doesn't make up for the lost deer when my gun just goes "click." Naturally, I will never buy Hornady ammunition again. Hornady Quality is poor and the product is certainly not dependable.
