The Akdal MKA-1919 Xn is semi-automatic, magazine fed, 12 gauge shotgun made in Turkey by Ucyildiz Arms. Resembling an oversize AR-15 the MKA 1919 utilizes the M16 style safety selector, bolt release, magazine release and has a removable carry handle rear sight, making it the perfect companion shotgun for 3 gun, home defense and even hunting.

The self regulating nature of the gas system enables the MKA 1919 lightweight shotgun to effortlessly run 2 3/4 and 3 inch shotshells, while not punishing the shooter with excessive recoil. The interchange choke tubes allow for versatility both in the target bay, in the field and in the home. From the 3 Gun master to the novice hunter, the Akdal MKA 1919 is the perfect shotgun, especially for those trained and familiar with the M16/AR-15 platform.

3.0 Rating Could be better... - 3/9/2014
Reviewer: kenmhall1
Initial impressions during un-boxing were that the fit and finish left a bit to be desired. Some areas where two different halves of molded plastic pieces came together weren't even, leaving some sharp edges. It's mostly plastic, except for the upper receiver and barrel. Also, the 2 magazines that come with it are no longer cartridge specific (they used to come w/ 1x for 2-3/4" and 1x for 3"). At the range, gave the 1st mag a slight tap into the mag-well to make sure it seated properly - apparently shouldn't have done that - from what I could tell, it went a little too far in and was blocking the bottom edge of the BCG from sliding forward...that took about 15-20min to get "unstuck". After clearing the mag issue, I ran 5x boxes (5rds/each) of Win RackMaster 2.75" 1-1/8oz rifled slugs through it (hi-brass) followed by a box (5rds) of Rem 2.75" 000 buck (8 pellet) (hi-brass) - and then a box (25rds) of Estate dove and target 2.75" 1oz 7.5shot (lo-brass). I didn't have any FT-Fire or FTE, but I did have several FT-Feed with the slugs, as well as with the birdshot. Overall, would I rely on it for home defense? Probably not. But, is it fun? Hell yeah!!! Although, it could probably use a bit more padding for repeated slug throwing.

5.0 Rating IT'S A SHOTGUN - 5/11/2014
Reviewer: Ace
After inspecting the gun right out of the box, I am impressed with the look and feel. It's action worked better then the brand new M16 I was issued in the Marine Corps back in 1969. I can't tell yet how it shoots or if any of the problems in other posts will crop up due to shoulder surgery preventing me to shoot anything for about a month yet. But hell I had to shot about 600 rounds though the 16 before it settled down.

5.0 Rating Amazing Machine - 3/22/2014
Reviewer: Double J
This is definitely a great semi automatic shotgun. Lots of customized parts out there. Not as expensive as a Saiga 12 yet, but probably on its way. Get them while they're below 1k. It received a lot of looks and complements at the range. As for firing, the gun needs a few rounds to smooth out feeding from the mag. Stock sights are okay, but I'm planning to change them. Just ordered 23 round magazine and can't wait to put it to use.

5.0 Rating Great Gun - 4/20/2014
Reviewer: James
I bought this shot gun a few months ago. I fired 2 boxes of Royal Rio 00 Buck through it to break it in. Today I fired 2 Boxes of Remington Game loads 2 3/4, 1290 FPS, 1oz, 7 1/2 shot with outstanding results. With a total of 100 rounds I had 1 stove pipe and 1 fail to feed. I am very pleased with this gun. Make sure you break it in and make sure it is lubed.
