4.0 Rating AO M1 Carbine - Nice! - 5/14/2014
Reviewer: Jay in NC
I have heard many thing about how these are cheaply made. Wrong! I don't know who started that rumor but these are every bit as nice as milsurp. The big debate of 'forged' vs. 'cast' is true but not if you compare current tech castings versus 70 year old forgings. The rifle I received was a thing of beauty. Incredible walnut stock that was smooth as glass but had a nice matte finish. The action on the unit was slick, especially since I haven't torn it apart for a CLA yet. All in all a very solid, well made rifle. I haven't shot it yet which is why it's only a 4. If it goes boom and is halfway accurate it's a very solid 5.
