Wearing these with the clear lens one day, the shooter next to me had his poorly-maintenanced weapon explode on him. A piece of metal/aluminum put an ugly pit into my lens. Hearing the cease-fire, we all stopped firing and assessed the situation. My Wiley X clear lens saved my eyeball!!!! Kind of important with me being a sniper that I have 2 eyes to work with. I changed out the lens to the amber ones and continued training. Just wish I could buy one lens instead of the whole 3 shade set. But, having my eyesight, cant complain now, Id buy another whole set....and i have. The case keeps them protected while bouncing around in my go-bag as well. I tried buying an aftermarket lens carrier, but they just didnt protect the lens as I wanted it to. I am now back to the original case just because it works best. The carrier has velcro belt attachments wide enough for a tactical-wide belt. Great product to have if youre on a budget but want something that works, is crystal clear, and seems to sharpen contrast.
