I've had better strikers but it does its job. Usually Gerber doesn't let me down, but they made it a little on the cheap side. I'd buy it again, but not for this price. Thanks CTD.

CTD came threw with flying colors AGAIN!! This product is made sturdy, OK whistle, striker is not great. Takes several times to get a decent spark. Bought the wetfire tinder with this and after several tries, still no flame. I will keep this product, but would have rather a different striker. Sorry Gerber, this is the worst product I've bought from you!!

The only problem I had was some of the orange lettering came off while I was using it. The striker worked great and especialy with some trioxane Very satisfied as always.Thanks CTD

I just got this for my bug out bag and was surprised at the quality for the price. It also includes a nifty little spot for dry tinder that is very useful. The whistle is surprisingly loud for its small size. It can hold some compressed cotton balls with Vaseline on them. The spark it produces is very hot and almost always ignites tinder. It is very waterproof and compact. Gerber has always been a good name and this proves it. 5 BULLETS!
