These are fantastic hearing protectors, probably the best I've used Over the years. I have two sets, my wife and I both find them very comfortable. The only thing I would mention is that if you are mainly a rifle shooter, you might want to look for a set that is slimmer. These have a tendancy to contact the stock on most long guns, at least for me.

Haven't in years used muffs,only ear plugs. Just recently, I had started shooting a .357 handgun at the indoor gun range.I know I needed more db's! So,I shopped around and around.Then, I remembered the range where I was planning on shooting. They used the Peltor Ult.10's as their choice of rentals. After using a pair of them at the range-SOLD American! They even brought down the noise of a guy next to me shooting a 12ga. slug shell for home protection!I even had to pull off my muffs to hear him ask me about the .357 I was shooting! One additional note, was that the great condition these muffs were in;given the fact that they were used and abused by rental shooters at the range!

I WILL TELL ANYONE THESE EAR PROTECTOR ARE GREAT NO PROBLEM WITH SOUND ONLY THING I SAW WAS WIFE HAD TO SCREAM AT ME SO I COULD HERE HER GREAT PRODUCT....

Peltor Ultimate 10 Hearing Protector is an excellent product. It truefully has a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 29db/30db (The highest NRR available on the Market for Ear Muff Protectors)! The Ultimate 10 is well engineered, well constructed, made of durable materials and fits comfortably and snugly. A quality product. If you value your hearing, these are the hearing protectors to buy. I also own a pair of Peltor President Hearing Protectors with a NNR of 24 (I bought them first two (2) years ago and they are excellent) but now the President muffs are put aside and I always use the Ultimate 10 Hearing Protector for hearing protection at the shooting range. I recommend the Ultimate 10 Hearing Protector to anyone and I would definitely buy them again.
