Got this recoil pad with the normal fast ship from CTD. Opened that package only to find that the screw holes in the pad base were extremely mis-shapened. Looked like they were drill out using a not so sharp stick. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the base was horrible warped and dished. I know that any recoil pad base is going to have to be sanded flat but this was really bad. If you buy one of these be prepared to spend 30 minutes or so sanding the base flat and replacing cheesy zinc screws that were provided. Also, you might want to dremel out a ¼ by 1” long thru slot in the base to make pad a little softer. The price was fair for this recoil pad but I think a company like Pachmayr could do a little better and provide you with some stainless steel screws.
