Let me first state that this works. Now to clarify, it works, if you're only cutting limbs smaller than your wrist (or at least my wrist size), after that, get a machete or hatchet. This dead weight has left the BOB. Now its in my tool bag, can't let it completely go to waste, right?

This is one of 3 or 4 things I always have in my pockets when I'm hunting, scouting around, or backpacking. Anytime I need to make a quick hide for deer, turkey, or predator hunting I just use it to lop off a few cedar branches or cut down a young one (this is an invasive species for us, don't just walk around a Nat. forest doing this!) and I've instantly and silently created a blind or a quick shelter to duck out of a rainshower. It quickly and silently cuts branches up to about 3.5 inches. It was indispensable for quartering an elk with the included bone saw. Blades change instantly without tools. My friend has this model as well and has broken it twice, but both times he was cutting thick cedars and got the blade in a bind. The blades are somewhat thin and flexible. To avoid what happened to his I use light pressure on the "push" stroke and depend on the "pull" stroke to do most of the cutting when I get it into heavy stuff. There's not a better lightweight saw out there.

i used this saw for one day of camping. towards the end the blade bent and the handle broke so that i had to duct tape it together just to get the last of my fire wood. (in 25 degree weather) also the blade is very thin and weak. i barely fell one tree with this saw.

I HAVE OWNED THIS SAME ITEM FOR OVER 8 OR SO YEARS AND THIS PRODUCT WORKS WONDERFUL. I HAVE USED MINE TO CUT A LOT OF DIFFERENT SIZE LIMBS WITH THE WOOD BLADE AND IT STILL PERFORMS WELL AND I HAVE USED THE BONE BLADE ON OVER 60+ DEER NOT COUNTING WHAT MY BUDDIES HAVE USED IT ON AND THE BONE BLADE STILL WORKS AS IT DID THE FIRST TIME I USED IT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS SET TO EVERYONE WHO NEEDS A WOOD SAW AND BONE SAW AND THIS IS A GREAT PRICE.
