Gator® Fixed, Fine Edge, Gut Hook -
The inner core of the handle is glass filled nylon. Then we chemically bonded it to the outer surface, which is molded Santoprene® rubber...creating a soft, tactile grip over a very strong structure.

Gut Hook Blade -
The gut hook is used by making a small incision with the main blade, then by using the hook to cut open the abdomen. For great performance when field dressing game, a gut, or skinning hook is an ideal tool.

Full Tang -
The term full tang means that the knife and sword is one solid piece with the two handle pieces are pinned on to the blade, one on each side. This is the strongest of the tang types. Half tang knives go the length of the knife handle, but only half the width of it.

Zytel -
A glass filled nylon material used in making handles for knives. DuPont trademark.

i've had this knife for 5 years and gutted many deer with it, it is still razor sharp cuts right through the ribs every time, if you are looking for a hunting knife this is a great choice

I purchased this same knife from a different store, but it was a great investment. It was razor sharp and had no problem skinning my deer last season. Because its so sharp I would suggest being careful when cleaning it, I almost cut myself pretty good while washing up after gutting. A great knife.
