Specifically designed for tactical applications with a choice of dual color reticle illumination, or just black Mil-Dot reticle. This enables the user to determine the distance of objects of a known size. The reticle is also useful for providing quick trajectory and wind drift aiming reference. The model with the illuminated reticle has an adjustable rheostat for brightness control. Also featuring Weaver-style rings, rubber eye guard, waterproof, fog-proof, and nitrogen gas-filled. They have a generous 4" eye relief and the lenses are fully coated for maximum brightness, clarity and contrast.

I mounted this scope to a plain Jane Bushmaster M4A3. I mounted said scope to my carry handle with a see-through style scope mount. This allows for the iron sights to still be used. Blue Loctite used on all screws. After some tweaking and adjustment, I'm able to place the shots in a 1" circle at 100 yards. At a modest 4x power magnification, it's a good buy for home defense, zombies, making holes in paper at the range, etc. A lot easier to use than the Mark 1 eyeball and iron sights. I'd recommend something with a bit more magnification for hunting. The illuminated reticle works as advertised. It's not "night vision" by any stretch of the imagination, but with 1/4 moon or more visible, you can use this scope at night.
