I shot this through my Savage 10 precision carbine in .308. I was not very impressed, not that consistent. Best grouping was 1 inch at 100yds. Tried it on 3 seperate times, all 3 I had optimal shooting conditions. The steel cases were also more difficult to chamber than brass. I also tried american eagle 168gr otm M1A and for a similar price it out shot the steel match with an easy .75 inch grouping under the same conditions.

Great stuff. The steel case may not be ideal for most applications, but for me, it's absolutly perfect. This is ideal ammo for PTR and HK91s. I was getting 1 inch groups all day with the standard PTR91F. One or two fliers may have been my fault, but it was very consistent ammo. It's hard to justify continuing to buy higher priced ammo, except for reusing the brass.

Savage 10BA 1 in 10 barrel. The ammo was OK, I shot 2 groups right at .5in but had several groups that had flyers which opened the groups up to over an inch. With the Fed gold match all my groups(3) were under .75in. I don't have time to shoot much therefore I do not burn through alot of ammo so I will stick with the Fed, but if I shot more I would most likely shoot more of this. Also if Hornaday comes out with a heavier bullet I'll give it a try since it would probably do better in my gun than the lighter bullets.

Using Remington M700VS bolt action rifle with a 26" heavy varmint (1:12) barrel with a 6x40mm scope, I shot 10 five shot groups for record. The average for all 10 groups was 0.874". The best group was 0.610". The worst was 1.271". It was 88 degrees, sunny day with a light breeze. I will buy more of this ammo. As long as they keep it affordable.
