Caper Blade -
A caper, or caping knife, is generally a small fixed blade. It is designed for preparing large game animals for mounting, a task which requires fine detail work for optimal results.

Skinner Blade -
A cutting blade made of surgical stainless steel with a very small angled back hone, a small grind angle, a small angled front hone, and a reduced size included angle, which has an increased hardness that results in a longer lasting narrow edge geometry blade that has a reasonable cost with increased durability and accuracy, providing greater cutting precision, productivity and net yields, while reducing the compression of the blade and processing downtime.

I figured the knife set would be good to add to the collection, but when I got them, they were dull as ever, knicks in the blades, and the bevels werent even. The main reason I wanted this set was for the honing steel, which is of good quality, considering I only spent 17 bucks on it, anywhere else it would be at least twice that. The "impact-resistant" case is anything but. its made of very flimsy extruded plastic, the kind you would see on a $10 set of sockets. Im hoping that regrinding the edge on the knives will make them satisfactory, if not, it was only $17.
