Leupold's new VX-R illuminated riflescopes combine proprietary powered fiber optic technology and an exclusive FireDot reticle to provide hunters with exceptional target acquisition, in the bright light of day as well as the low light of dawn or dusk.

The FireDot 4 reticle is the bold post with extra-bright centerpoint dot helps drive the eye to the center of the reticle and keeps the upper field of view free of obstructions. Aids in fast target acquisition.

VX-R riflescopes feature a single push button illumination system with Leupold's own Motion Sensor Technology (MST). A touch of the button illuminates the dot within the reticle. By repeatedly pressing the button, you can select between eight different intensity settings including a high-low flashing indicator. After five minutes of inactivity, the illumination system automatically switches to stand-by mode, but reactives at the same intensity setting whenever the rifle is moved. This helps maintain greater stealth in the field.

The fiber optic light pipe can be easily seen in bright light, yet is not overpowering in low-light conditions. Once activated, the dot illuminates with bright, sharp definition, while the rest of the reticle remains non-illuminated. This combination leads the eye naturally to the center aiming point and makes target acquisition quick, precise, and simple.

As always Leupold comes up with the overall best quality rifle scope for the AR-15...I have looked up and down for the perfect scope for my multi purpose AR-15 hunting , self defense and just plane fun. The scope is clear at all settings. Either at dusk or dawn or that late night hog hunt push a button and boom. The fire dot is on with 5 different settings its perfect. I have used others but, they just don't compare to the quality or the awesome customer service you get from Leupold. SAVE THOSE PENNIES AND GET THIS SCOPE ITS WELL WORTH IT!!!!!

This is FREAKIN AWESOME!!!! perfect size ,finish is great and optic quality is the best...red dot functions flawlessly. This is the perfect addition to any ar platform , hunting or DMR this is the one great job Leupold and CTD.....
