Guys, some things to consider about this product: it's solid, good quality, and worth the money, but be prepared to make modifications. After I stripped down the wooden front guards and attached the Tapco guard, I couldn't get the gas tube to line up properly. I had to use a Dremel tool to cut away some of the inside of the guard to give clearance for the gas tube to seat and lock in properly. Be careful and take your time making this modification. The product comes with instructions on disassembly, but not how to make the modification. Look for hash marks inside the guard frame (close to the bottom of the gas tube). You may need to cut about 1/4 inch or so to make the tube fit right. I considered returning the product, but after making this modification, I was pleased with the outcome. It locks in super tight and has a great feel. It doesn't feel cheap or flimsy. My weapon system is a stamped frame, Romanian build. I have extensive experience with the AK-47 from Iraq and Afghanistan and I would recommend it to others looking to modify an AK-47.
