The Midwest Industries SPLP (Same Plane Low Profile) flip up back up rear sight is a solidly built sight designed for the rigors of field use. When folded the SPLP is less than 0.5" tall but still carries 2 apertures and the same windage adjustments as the M-16, M-4, and A-4 rifles. Made in the USA this sight is made to take to the fight in a far off land or a back up in the field.

Same ball detent battle proven design of MCTAR-ERS
Lock Detent Button with stepped down turns, to provide a surface you can grab onto if your hands are muddy or wet
Micro Style windage knob featuring the same MOA adjustments as the standard M-16: 0.65 MOA on M-4 type rifles / 0.49 MOA on A-4 type rifles

Worked as stated and fit perfectly on my sportical. It even allows me to mount my 3-16 mil-dot scope OVER it with extra high quick-detachable mounts making my AR useful in any situation from hunting coyotes and deer to home defense in seconds! I gave it 4 bullets only because I haven't shot it yet. I also upgraded to an AmeriGlo tritium pin and dot set, but the detente on the flip over a rear peep does not hold it as well as it should.
