Is a lube a just a lube? Well, I can't say for sure, I haven't used very many other than oil and this grease. I like the Hi-Tech Grease as it does seem to live up to it's hype. The new GLOCK was 'gritty' when you worked the slide. I lubed on the points GLOCK specifies, and worked the slide by hand while dry firing and just operating the slide. It feels 'slicked up' and definitely less 'gritty'. My previous tube lasted me quite a while because I use it sparingly.
