The stretchable and soft padding of the Alaskan soaks up the bouncing you get from typical stiff slings and can reduce the felt weight by up to 50%. Non-slip grippers in the pad help keep the sling in place and even include cartridge loops to keep a few extra rounds handy and not banging around in a pocket.
