Ideal for small game, pest control, plinking or serious target shooting, the Ruger Air Magnum Break Barrel Pellet Rifle is a 1200 FPS pellet rifle with an included 4x32 scope. The spring piston break-barrel rifle is durable with its built in all weather composite stock. The 1200 FPS (feet per second) that is attained is high for this class of spring piston break-barrel rifle. The Air Magnum features a blued barrel and receiver and a rifled all steel barrel. The adjustable fiber optic rear sight allows for easy sighting adjustments and the fixed fiber optic front sight allows for quick focusing on the intended target. An automatic safety, rubber recoil pad for comfort, and adjustable trigger are all features of this quality gun.

This rifle is an amazing value!!! I own a number of air rifles, my favorite being my Benjamin Marauder in .25 caliber. I wanted a new springer after I hocked my Remington Summit in .22. This rifle has a beautiful composite stock that is solid and comfortable. The trigger pull is light and very smooth. I usually hunt with my Marauder PCP, so when I first fired the Ruger, it fired before I even realized it. I didn't torque the rifle trying to pull the stupid trigger like most spring piston rifles! The entire stages of the trigger are very smooth, which helps with accuracy. It's quiet unless you are shooting the super light weight pellets; then it gets louder because it will break the sound barrier, so the claims of 1200 fps are pretty close, if not dead on. FYI: hunting with the PBA or lead free ammo is useless because the pellet is so light. Yes, it will sizzle right to your intended target, but being so light, it doesn't carry enough energy to do any damage. Use pellets around 14-18 grains. It keeps the velocity around 850 to 950 fps but it smacks your target with some serious energy and will drop anything up to coyote with the right shot placement. The rifle is very powerful, very accurate, and nice looking! Cheaper Than Dirt got it to me quickly and in perfect condition. If you are looking for a target rifle, this is great. If you are looking for a hunting air rifle, look no further. For the price CTD is selling this, you will not find a better built, more powerful .22 out there, other than a pre-charged or a PCP. If you wanna drop varmints, skunks, possums, coons, and so on, this baby will waste them no prob! Buy it - you will not be sorry.
