I ran three mags worth of ammo through this without a single misfeed. However, without a spring relief, I cannot fill it to capacity. I can only push about 18 to 20 cartridges into this 30 round mag. The standard mag for the 597 is side-by-side, not this extended magazine. Also, unlike the standard mag, the action does not stay open after the last shot.
