It didn't come with a hard case from the factory or an extra mag like they usually do from the factory. Also, the carbon on both upper and lower looks sloppy. You can see some small bubbles on it. Well like they say, you get what you pay for.

5.0 Rating Huge Bang for the buck - 6/17/2013

Unbelievable value in the AR world. It comes with a 1X30 red dot scope (with 1 CR2032 battery), sling, gun lock, steel 30 round magazine. I was planning on building a lightweight AR and quickly realized that I couldn't do it for this price (this thing is very light). While this gun is not exactly what I wanted; that is the benefit of the AR platform, you can change just about anything. The only word of caution is that the upper receiver has a different barrel nut thread than standard. But, there are still some free floating hand guards that will work with this barrel nut (which is standard on the outside, but not on the threads on the inside), you just have to search. Other than that, everything is standard sizes. After taking it to the range, the scope is probably not any good past about 25 yards, but the rifle is still quite accurate (even during the recommended chrome lined barrel break in of 200 rounds). I only had 1 cartridge jam and that could easily be contributed to the cheap Walmart ammo. I look forward to free-floating it, adding a lighter trigger and upgrading the scope. Other than that it's perfect, especially when you consider the cost.

3.0 Rating Disappointed in TN - 9/18/2013
Reviewer: Reg in Oakland
First day at range I did not fire four rounds before the first misfeed. Kept trying but gave up before 20 rounds. Went back the next day and had same results. Called customer service and I sent the gun back to factory. They replaced extractor spring (extracting was not the problem) and polished the breech. I got my rifle back and went to the range and had similar results as before. I talked to another shooter at the range who was testing a new toy and shared my results with him and he let me try a Magpull mag. My rifle fired perfect with the Magpull. I went to BassPro the next day and purchased my own Magpull and had no misfeeds. The rifle I received requires a quality magazine which I will buy. The rifle is a little short for me so I guess my wife just got her birthday present early. Expected more from Bushmaster. I did not get the cheap red dot as mentioned in another post. It is shown with one in the ad but I only received a sling, 1 mag, and a picky rifle.

This is a very bad product from Bushmaster. Please consider something else. I know you read these and make a choice, but this is a poor rifle. I would not buy this and watch out for some of bushmaster products.
