It works, it's inexpensive, and it was just what I needed a couple years ago when I got my RIA 1911. Yes, it is plastic and the metal on the gun will chew it up a bit, but not so much that it will affect function.

lets you remove your barrel bushing with a full length guide rod installed. Would have given 5 bullets, but every time I use it I notice blue plastic shavings...it's getting beat up and I've only used it 4-5 times. However, it does what it's supposed to do, no complaints
