Wilson Combat, Model 2B, Shok-Buff Buffers, 6 Per Package

The Wilson Shok-Buff prevents the slide from battering the frame during recoil by sandwiching a 1/10" thick poly fiber buffer between the slide and frame contact areas. When you are shooting high-performance loads in your 1911-style pistol, you want the extra protection that the original Shok-Buff provides. The object of the frame-to-slide buffer is to protect the pistol from wear; if the buffer is not soft enough to take the damage instead of the pistol, what have you accomplished? We feel the original Shok-Buff is the optimum balance between shock absorption and longevity. Easily replaceable after absorbing up to 1,000 rounds of repeated firings, the Shok-Buff slides over the recoil spring guide between guide and spring.

Due to space constraints, Wilson does not recommend Shok-Buff buffers in Colt Officers, Springfield Compact or Para-Ordnance P12 pistols.

Great product. Works well on my Rock Island Armory 1911 with no fitting problems like a few others described. After about a year of using these, I'd say that there is visibly much less wear on my RIA than my Springfield (also no fit issues now), which I've had longer and used without these buffers in the past. I reload and put some lead through my pistols, so I'm very happy with this product and use it on all my 1911's now.

I have a Kimber TLE RLII. These buffers are easy to install and well made. For the first 2 mags NO PROBLEM but after that when you have the slide locked back, you put in your next full mag and try to pull the slide back to release again and chamber a round, IT WON'T WORK. You actually have to use your slide lock thunb release to do that. I cleaned the gun and buffer, re assemble everything and now it worked. Took it to the range again and SAME PROBLEM again. Took it off. Now it works fine. Don't know, maybe it moves or too thick?

Well I've used buffers in every other firearm I have without problems at all...I bought one pack of these and for some reason in one of my 1911's it works perfectly without any problems at all, but in the other when the buffer is installed you can't pull back on your slide and have it release...you have to actually press the slide release to allow a round to chamber. I cut and cut and cut away material from the one that was installed in this 1911 and just decided to remove it instead because nothing I did would allow my 1911 to work properly.
