Got 3 of these mags and they work great in my Springfield 1911 Operator with a Wilson Combat magwell. First guy said he had to hammer it in to fit 8 rounds? May be just the model and because it's a Colt, but the only thing close to what he said that I expereince is when you load 8 rounds in and then try to load the mag into the gun with the slide forward, it gets a little tight and needs a good "love tap" to seat it propperly. But if the slide is back, it fits smoothly.

This mags are expensive but I have found out the hard way that when it comes to firearm equipment, you get what you pay for. I keep one of these loaded with 6 rounds in it all day everyday and it still works perfectly.

Pricey, but worth every penny. The teflon-coated follower makes it very easy to load, the base pad makes it very easy to seat in the gun, and the superior engineering has completely eliminated failures to feed and failures to chamber. Hands down, this is the best .45 mag available for the 1911.

This mag works great in my Kimber Eclipse Custom II. I had to lightly file off the sharp outside edge on the top of the mag to get it to seat easily. After that - no problems. I like the removeable bottom for cleaning and the teflon coated follower.

This magazine works FLAWLESSLY in my RIA Tactical 1911. It feeds any type of ammo, and it locks the slide back on empty EVERY TIME FOR BOTH OF THOSE FUNCTIONS. Plus it drops free when I press the magazine release, so that means it isn't manufactured too big in its outer dimensions. It's a great magazine don't let these other guys' low rating reviews fool you. Plus it looks great with its unique base pad sticking out of the bottom of your gun. I'm ordering many more before the end of the year.

I just got this mag and compared it to my Mec-Gar and Chip McCormick magazines (the same price range). IMHO don't get this one. The follower is made of thin, cheap looking plastic and when loaded with 8 rounds, you need a hammer to seat it in a Colt 1911. My other ones work flawlessly. Sorry CDT, this is coming back to you for an exchange!

These are the best I've found. They're not going to work in every model from every manufacture so try one before you buy one. I did, my RIA Tactical hates anything Wilson. My other two loves them and after switching to these I've had a perfect function record with both guns. Try one, if it works buy as many as the budget allows. Thanks CTD.

I had read so much about these Mags bring the best, I ordered six of them. They turned out to be a problem, the second round in the mag will hang up every time in every mag, makes no differance if it's in my Custom shop Kimber, or my 70 series colt. My Kimber mags work flawlessly, so I'm going back to them. The ammo I'm using is Federal Tactical law enforcement 230 gr JHP +P, guess these mags just don't like duty ammo.

Couldn't buy a better 8 round mag. It loads perfectly in my tuarus 1911 and feeds flawlessly. the extended base plate makes it pretty easy to load when your trying to do it fast.
