Wow – this ammo totally exceeded my expectations! I needed non-tox shells for the area that I was hunting, but I was somewhat skeptical about shooting #7 steel for quail. I figured it wouldn’t quite do the same job as lead, and that I would be handicapped. Boy I was wrong! I shot a half limit of CA quail (wild birds) and a limit of doves this weekend. I only had one cripple that got away, all of the other birds fell hard. This stuff has great killing power, and I had no problem taking birds at normal ranges. I probably wouldn’t use #7 on pheasants or ducks, but for the small stuff its great. The best things is the price, it’s a fraction of the cost of other types of lead free shells.
