This is my number 1 ammunition choice for my Ruger New Vaquero. Yes it's cowboy action loads with lead bullets, its going to be messy! Clean your firearms! Great price at CheaperThanDirt! If you buy ammo in bulk like I do its still cheaper ever after shipping.

I have a Taurus Judge Public Defender model and fired about 50 of the Winchester .45LC rounds to zero in a laser sight and the lead fouling was severe. I will buy jacked ammo in the future. Jerry

I fired a box of 50 through my brand new never fired Taurus Judge. I thought I'd never get the barrel clean. I've since been told that that gun should never fire lead nose bullets, but the jacketed rounds are ok....I still have a full box-unopened.

Consistent performance, but excessive lead fouling of barre with intensive cleanup to remove lead fouling residue.

The rounds are accurate and deliver consistent groups at 25 yards, but the lead fouling of the barrel after 28 rounds was very difficult to remove with lots of solvent and many passes with a brass brush. Good round, but you will spend alot of time and energy getting the barrel clean again.

I just got a SA .45 and this was the first and only ammo I've put through it. I was surprised at the lack of recoil and the gun wasn't too dirty at cleanup time. I have nothing to compare it to, but I liked this ammo...
