I HAVE ALWAYS HAD BETTER RESULTS USING STEEL CASED AMMO IN MY AKS. THIS AMMO SHOOTS VERY CLEAN AND HAS LESS MUZZLEFLASH THAN WOLF. HOWEVER, I HAD THE CASE RIPPED BY THE EXTRACTOR OF MY ARSENAL AK. THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED WITH "CHEAP" STEEL CASES.

I have had more problems with Remington than Wolf. Plus it cost too much.

After reading a couple of John's reviews (one over Wolf) I decided to go to walmart and buy a couple of boxes of this....it feeds flawlessly and is 100% reliableb in ALL of my rifles....but honestly it is the WORST ammo I have used in terms of consistent accuracy...no joke...even Wolf MC FMJ was more consistently on target at 75 meters...while there was not one "off the paper" shot that accompany cheaper mil-spec ammo...they were every where...Fiocchi is much better for accuracy..and $3 cheaper....and also 100% reliable for me... One thing everyone forgets when it comes to 7.62x39 is how diverse everyone's rifles are...not to mention how diverse the people are shooting...and how diverse the maintanence is...if you have major problems with current production mil-spec ammo of every type then something's wrong, and it's probally not the ammo. I have had to modify many things from used and abused Simonovs...such as horrible magazines, and I have found universally on all of rifles that slight minor modifications fix major problems...

I recently picked up my first AK and along with it some Wolf "military classic" ammo. After arriving home I tested the AK and found that it would stove pipe and jam every time. The wolf ammo would not cycle at all in any of my semi auto's including Ruger mini-30, SKS, and M-70 Yugo b1. I went to CTH.com and got some Remington UMC and it shoots great in all my 7.62x39 mm guns, no jams, and no stove pipes. Very accurate in my AK, 5 shots in a 1" group at 50 yards with open sights. Great ammo for range practice or home defense. I give Remington UMC 5 bullets
