I fully agree with the other guys, this is by far the most powerful buckshot I’ve seen. This makes Winchester 00 look like bird shot and has consistent grouping and power. This is the only defensive ammo I use.

When it comes to up close and personal defense, there is nothing I would want more than a 12 gauge boomstick loaded with 000 buck 3 inch magnums. Its like getting hit with 10 nine mil rounds at once, making them one of the most lethal rounds you can get. At extended range, the relatively small amount of shot will spread, taking away from that getting-hit-by-a-truck kind of shock that gives shotguns their killing power, but shotguns arent made for sniping anyway so that is not a problem. If you want a home defense round that will rip a man in half, look no further than this. If you want a hunting round that will bring down all but the moosiest moose, here it is. If you are looking for a duck hunting round, look again, but other than that, here is your perfect shotgun shell.

In my opinion, this is the best buckshot out there. Whether it's for hunting or home defense, you can always depend on this load. It kicks like a mule, but is advertised to take down bears. At close-to-intermediate ranges, this load shoots patterns which are just as tight (and sometimes tighter)than Remington's new "Tac-8" ammunition. (Using a factory Mossberg 590, 20" bbl.) No one questions the stopping power of #000 Buck, and I like the fact that 2 additional pellets are flying down range, esp. at longer distances.
