It's loaded with a 130 Grain Bronze Point tipped bullet which it launches at 3060 fps. This is an ideal choice for hunting many game animals such as whitetails, black bears, and caribou.

Introduced by Remington over 80 years ago, these were the first bullets to utilize a tipped design. Today Bronze Point still delivers exceptional long range performance on medium sized game. Sleek profile generates flat trajectory. On impact, the bronze tip is driven backward to create rapid, but controlled expansion.

I have used bronze points in .30-06 and .270 Win for 30 years. This round will give dependable performance to 500 yards. It was designed by Remington to provide a better ballistic coefficient that other bullets available when it was introduced. The bronze point on this bullet is very pointy and durable in the pocket, magazine and shoots well in many rifles. Cost of this ammunition is less than some of the new designer rounds, but it has been doing the job in the field for a long time. Else, by now, it would have disappeared. It is worth trying in your .270
