This is a highly reliable 22 short so if you just want to preserve your old 22 or if you have a gun that can only shoot 22 short this is the perfect bullet for you. When I purchased a box for my 22 lr caliber revolver i was expecting something much quiter. I just aswell should have bought standard bullets because these things are very loud not quite at all. I still have some left and I plan to use them up rabbit hunting or something these things were so loud I'd feel comfortable useing them for selfdefense if the bullet dont scare um the noise will. I planned to use these in my yard but I shot one and realized that it is very loud so if you plan to buy these dont plan on them being quiet there loud. I was very disapointed but pleased to see that the light 29 grain bullet expands rapidly in phone books and probly will do the same on a rabbit.
