Remington has the right ammo for any occasion: for hunting, try this 3" 12 Gauge Magnum buckshot round with #4 Lead Buckshot (41 Pellets) at 1225 fps is an excellent choice for bigger deer.

When the biggest bucks somehow materialize out of nowhere you better be ready to make the most of it. Remington's buckshot lets you shoot with the confidence once possible only with a rifle. The reasons for choosing Remington are numerous. Some say it's unbeatable value. Regardless of the reason, we remain unwavering in our sprit of a legendary brand. Express Buckshot is one of the great values in shotgun deer loads. A combination of heavy cushioning behind the shot column and a granulated polymer buffering helps maintain pellet roundness for tight, even patterns.

5.0 Rating Unmatched Knockdown - 3/17/2008

I have always heard people talk about OO or 000 buck as the prefered shot size when wanting to use a shotgun round in varmint, pest control and home defense situations. After using the Remington rounds loaded with #4 buck, I developed my own opinion. Target shooting with these rounds is awesome! My shooting partners hit the target with their rounds, then I unleash mine. I don't gloat... I just smile. 41 individual rounds in one is more devastating than 10-15. Smaller projectiles means less kinetic energy. If it is in a home defense scenario, over penetration of interior walls is not a desired effect. I'm not saying they won't go through walls but reducing the probability of sustained velocity is a factor. I think this is by far my favorite shotgun round. Works excellent against varmints and unwanted pests too.

4.0 Rating DFENS - 3/23/2009

Bought 2 boxes for my winchester model 120 smoothbore, with a 28" barrell. Shot only four rounds into a delivery pallet and decided to just save the rest for when I need it. Pretty much, after each round (shooting at boards) I had to find a new target, though not as powerful as 00 or 000 buckshot, I would only be hesitant with this ammo if I seen a bear. I also shot one round into like a 25 gallon drum barrell, and just destroyed it. Its hard to actually find a spread pattern with these as the paper, wood, and barrell targets all just get blown to peices. You really can NOT go wrong with this ammo, Great home defense choice!

5.0 Rating Best of the buckshot sizes - 6/8/2009

Grew up shooting this very ammunition at geese along a wildlife refuge border we knew as the 'firing line'. Have dropped geese dead regularly at 70 to 80 yards many hundreds of times. Now not legal due to the non toxic requirements throughout the country I think a lot of people overlook the devestation capable with #4 buckshot. It is superior to 00 or 000 buck due to its greater pattern density.
