The hydra-shock hollow point, first in 9mm Parabellum and later in other calibers, was the ammunition of choice for most of the police agencies in my area. Reliable, consistant, and having appropriate penetration AND expansion in many tissue types and through a variety of clothing, it is worth the price for personal defense.

I have been using and testing this load for years, without a complaint. The post in the HP never gets clogged with demin or other clothing. The other day i tested this round again for a friend to see. The gun was a colt detective special 2 1/4' barrel not optimal for muzzle velocity or bullet expansion but the average round expanded to 5/8' and penterated 14'. Those numbers speak for themselves!!
