Whether you're hunting deer or you keep a shotgun for home defense, Federal has the right ammo for you in the Power-Shok line. This example, in 12 Gauge, has a 2-3/4" shell loaded with a 1-1/4 oz rifled hollow point slug, which it fires at 1520 fps. It's intended for smoothbore barrels.

This line offers you a full complement of rifled slugs for just about every shotgun gauge. Remember, "rifled" slug means the slug is rifled, not your barrel. This soft lead slug delivers good expansion and is accurate out to 100 yards.

Muzzle energy: 2805 ft/lbs

FYI, these are MAGNUM slugs. Not to confuse it with the 1 ounce FS127RS. CTD uses identical photo's for the boxes (at the time of this review) hint, hint. Turn the box sideways and its shown in bold letters "MAGNUM". CTD has also provided energy stats for the two which read differently and one could assume maybe these are a little hotter based upon the data. Indeed they are. Pretty leaded barrel afterwards too. Despite my grumblings... accurate, fed well do to rounded shell casing. Kicked like a mule from a mossy 500. Could probably kill a zombie-elephant. You won't be shooting this stuff all day - but you'll win.
