I've shot Silvertips for years. Revolvers and semi-autos, both. Never a lick of trouble out of 'em. My personal favorite for personal protection.

As a police officer with over 17 years experience, I have carried more than one duty weapon, and more than one type of ammunition for the duty weapon in question. For over 15 years, I have settled on one round for my 357 magnum revolver, the silvertip. I have killed deer with it, shot it in more than one test, and carried it with full confidence. I keep my old service revolver loaded with silvertips, and never consider anything else.

For self defense this is a accurate round with a mean, deep cavity at the tip. 100% reliable ignition. Solid punch. Easy in and out of the cylinder. Nickle brass. I don't hunt, but if I did I wouldn't use this round unless it was from a rifle. My choice of daily carry.
