Winchester owes its humble beginnings to rimfire Ammunition. As a matter of fact, Winchester's first commercially available metallic cartridge ammunition was a large caliber rimfire load introduced back in 1866. More than 130 years later, rimfire is the world's most popular ammunition. As you would expect, Winchester has you covered with a complete line of high-performance cartridges including the undisputed heavyweight in rimfire ammunition - the 22 Winchester Magnum introduced in 1960. From precision target shooting to plinking, small-game hunting and silhouettes, Winchester is chosen by rimfire shooters worldwide.

my long time love, the super X's. dont get me wrong, it would be nice if they were cheaper...but out of thousands of rounds ive never had a FTL or FTE. shoot clean, nice tight groups. you get what you pay for, quality ammo. id expect no less from winchester.

5.0 Rating Reminton 597 - 12/9/2008
Reviewer: Bullet
The Remington 597 semi-automatic rifle is not a very good gun. My friend had one and it had all kinds of feeding problems, no matter what ammo was used. We tried cleaning it. Still jammed. I have a Marlin model 39AS and the Winchester Super-X are the most accurate and have the least miss fires. CCI Stingers are good too. Some guns shoot better with one certain bullet than others. Not all bullets fron the same brand work good in a gun. Even match grade bullets may not work good in one kind of a gun, a cheaper round may be better. I think bullet manufactures even change the kind of powder and componets in bullets too. That can cause some bullets that shot good in a gun to miss fire or not be accurate. You get what you pay for.

1.0 Rating Inconsistent - 10/31/2009

I just got back from the range. I had two guns, this ammo, and two boxes of other stuff I needed to use. The Remington could shoot this OK but the Ruger hated it. The cheep American Eagle ammo would group about a 50 cent piece at 25 yards. I needed a paper dollar with the Winchester stuff at the same distance. I am very dissappointed.

5.0 Rating Best for my 10/22 Takedown - 1/5/2013
Reviewer: BobWow
I have a 10/22 Takedown, which has been mildly tricked out. The bolt has been squared and head-spaced and the trigger lightened. I'm using BX25 mags and have done a number of other irrelevant convenience mods. This has been the most reliable ammo under varying environmental conditions. It shoots accurately and relatively cleanly, with very few FTFs. I will be ordering a slug of it when it becomes available again.
