4.0 Rating Good For Snakes - 5/2/2008Ammo .22 Long Rifle CCI Shotshell 31 Grains of #12 shot 1000 fps 20 Rounds 00394.0000

I have used shot shells for over 50 years, and unless you want to lug around a shovel to kill snakes these are great. Only .22 magnum shot is better, but also more expensive. I don't really like getting close enough to rattlers for a shovel kill, so I have two revolvers always loaded with shot--one in my ranchhouse and one with me. Anyone who understands how self loading weapons work will know why you must use a revolver for shot shells.
4.0 Rating Ehhh. not bad - 4/5/2008Ammo .22 Long Rifle CCI Shotshell 31 Grains of #12 shot 1000 fps 20 Rounds 00394.0000

Well, you can't really expect much from a .22 shotshell. These shotshells do not cycle well in semi-autos, but work great in a bolt action. I shot a clay disc on the ground within 3-4 yards and it barely made little dents on the surface. I think it took about 6 shots until it cracked. But the grouping was impressive. It's a little expensive for the weak performance. But they are fun to shoot.
2.0 Rating pretty crappy :/ - 3/23/2008Ammo .22 Long Rifle CCI Shotshell 31 Grains of #12 shot 1000 fps 20 Rounds 00392.0000

all i shoot are .22's cuz i just cant afford the bigger shells, but one day i had a little spare change and wanted to try these out, i regret buying them and would never buy them again, i shot an old hubcap at about 40 feet, and most of the tiny pellets only made little dints, only a few went through the hubcap

i shoot these using a single shot remington rifle for pest control. they work well in this weapon. you have to get close, like within 15 yards to get effective results. to dispatch snakes about 10 yards requiring multible rounds. these shells are better used for training young shooters. other than than a 'wounding' shot, they are not for any game bird or animal. use them with care and have some fun because that is what they are for.
