The only sure thing i know about this ammo, is if you have to pull your weapon to protect your life. You want these.. Spend the few extra dollars. I did, you wont be disapointed. there around .80 cents each, but well worth it. They have superior knock down power, spoke to a local cop and was told "bullets dont get much better than this" i carry an springfield xd 40. they feed well, and have low recoil. also most police officers swear by them too. If you have narrowed it down to gold dot, or hydra shock, choose Speer for life protection.

as this is some of the most expensive ammo i've bought it's also issued to my dads police department with 3,000 + officers i've fired hydra shok and golden saber wich both have good performance but speer takes the cake both un bonded and bonded (i prefer bonded) shooting these along next to some black talons speer is equal in balistic performance if not better 0 fouling or jamming clean up is easily done in less than minutes after every time i shoot through both Sig P229R and Sig 239 .40S&W i trust this ammo with my life for i know even though rule of thumb is always double tap center mass 1 shot of speer and the suspect is going down and not getting back up so i give 5 out of 5!!!!!!
