5.0 Rating bullet slippage - 7/1/2008.45 ACP Blazer Full Metal Jacket Round Nose 230 Grain 845 fps 50 Round Box5.0000

Any 45 acp bullet will slip if repeatedly chambered. 45acp is not roll crimped. Try any ammo you want, it will do the same thing. Blazer is good stuff. The price is right for disposable ammo. I see no negatives for this price.
2.0 Rating not very good - 6/7/2008.45 ACP Blazer Full Metal Jacket Round Nose 230 Grain 845 fps 50 Round Box2.0000

I bought blazer because it was cheap. I got what I paid for. In chambering a round to keep for defense around the house, I found that after you chamber the same round over several days, the projectile pushes WAY down into the casing. The first box I shot in my 1911A1 had 2 jams and they shoot dirty. They were accurate.
5.0 Rating great ammo - 4/6/2008.45 ACP Blazer Full Metal Jacket Round Nose 230 Grain 845 fps 50 Round Box5.0000

I have been shooting this ammo for several months now. I mainly use it at the range, but also load my Springfield Armory XD .45 with it every night before I go to bed. This ammo is great, it's cheap and shoots every time. Have not had one jam in my XD or in my Kimber. Been storing some .40 ammo for my Beretta 96 so we will see how it holds over time, not in airtight storage. Other than that, I would recommend it for everyone. Get it while you can.
5.0 Rating Not reliable enough to store? HOOEY! - 2/6/2008.45 ACP Blazer Full Metal Jacket Round Nose 230 Grain 845 fps 50 Round Box5.0000

I'm a retired law enforcement officer and firearms trainer. I recently went through 5 boxes of Blazer 45 that had been in storage in my garage as emergency response ammo. Not in air tight mil-spec ammo cans either. These were in a loose lidded Rubbermade storage box. Every round went bang and with no noticable lack of recoil on any shot. They all went were I pointed them too. Not reliable enough for "Rainy day" emergency use? Hooey I say. These rounds had been put back almost 15 years ago. How's that for reliable? By the way, when CCI was loading Blazer 200gr hollow points in 45acp, I regularly carried them as my duty ammo in my S&W 645. This was long before HydraShoks, Golden Sabres and the like premium bullets were available. And I used the same ammo to win a number of local bowling pin matches. They would knock pins off the table with such force that they would hit the ground 4 or 5 feet behind the table. I just wish I could still get the 200gr JHP Blazers in 45 ACP. I do buy the projectiles when I feel like "rolling my own". I have been using the 230FMJs in IDPA and Bowling pin matches without any feed, extraction or failure to fire problems. I guess I went through close to 1000 rounds in the last year alone. The guys POO-POOing Blazer need to go out and shoot more.
5.0 Rating Works just fine - 11/17/2007.45 ACP Blazer Full Metal Jacket Round Nose 230 Grain 845 fps 50 Round Box5.0000

I just finished shooting 650 rounds of Blazer aluminum .45ACP at Front Sight, just two weeks ago. I had purchased a case of it about 4 months prior. I ran it through my XD45 4" compact. No failure to fires, no failure to extracts. Yes, it isn't the highest quality ammo, but I experienced no reliability issues with it. I rated it a 5 because it is FMJ and that is what I am comparing it against....other FMJ 230 grain .45 ammunition. For target shooting, I can't imagine needing anything better. FWIW, I shot a 3/4" 5 shot group (ragged hole drill) with it at 5 meters during the Front Sight class....not bad considering I only shot the one ragged hole drill. :>) I wouldn't call it junk ammo given that kind of performance.
